Took my car in for repairs 3 days ago. They never even looked at it, in spite of having made an appointment. I decided to pick the car up and go elsewhere when they said they wouldn’t be able to get to it until sometime next week. No hint up front that it would be a week before they could even look at it. God only knows how long it would be for the actual repairs. This has been a real inconvenience and my car to be fixed. Get your act together Herndon!

I’ll start by saying my family and I have purchased several vehicles from Herndon with not a lot of problems. But service lately sucks. My wife took her Cruze for service and a valve cover replacement and 4 tire sensors. Service representative called (who was very nice and respectful) with a $2900 cost. Mechanic said numerous problems. Oil pan leaking, the4 coil assembly was broken, front brakes, tires sensors and valve cover. I chose to replace valve cover, tires sensors and coil assembly $900 +. I have waited almost 5 months to write this review, I brought my 2011 Buick Regal for a check engine light. The service advisor reported that the mechanic had determined that I needed a new timing chain and the cost to repair would be $3,200. I looked up the average cost of repair on Google and the range to repair was from $1,800 to a high of $2 400. It took Herndon 2 days to get back with this quote. I purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse from Herndon in May and am pleased with my purchase overall with one exception....the right rear tire leaking down weekly. The first week I had the car, I had to put air in the right rear tire. This is absolutely the worst GM dealership I have ever been to. Please don't think all GM dealerships are this bad. The sales managers are condescending arrogant sales people who can't make it at sales people and become sales managers and totally against women. They never even acknowledged my wife. This dealership was completely dishonest with me in my transaction. I recommend no one EVER deal with them under any circumstances. A vehicle was advertised to the public for a certain price. The car had been used as a loaner vehicle and had 2000+ miiles on it but had never been titled. I had a Costco Auto Buyer coupon to reduce that price by $3000. Horrible dealing with this service dept. Never again. Took Malibu in for diagnosis on two codes. Also needed coolant service. I ask for call with results before work done. Never got a call, had to call them. They gave me price on the two sensor parts at just over $100.00 each. I declined service. The list price on the OEM replacement parts were $74.09. Vehicle was a bit overpriced. Someone was also driving vehicle so had more miles than advertised which affects manufacturer warranty. Waited for the person driving to take it home or wherever to clean their stuff out of it before it could be detailed so it took almost 3 hours after I was ready to be on my way to leave.

I called this dealership twice and received no help from the receptionist or sales. In fact the sales rep was not listening to anything I said on the call. In fact when I said I would find another dealership, her response was, “okay.” I moved across the state and am trying to find the best dealership to help with a trade in. Do not buy a used car at this dealership. We purchased a automobile for our to be 16 year old daughters birthday gift. We were told vehicle was inspected and certified and was not. Car was sold with active recalls and transmission failed in less than 750 miles. The Dealership offered nothing. Vehicle had 47000 miles when purchased. With high profits on used cars you would think they would have offered something toward the repair for at least reputation sake. 10/23/2018 - I tried to schedule an appointment to change my oil and have them rotate tires they sold me. No one answered the phone in the service department. I left message with my phone number. When I hadn't heard from them hours later, sent an e-mail and got a response that my request was being passed to the appropriate department. More than a day later, nothing.

Herndon Chevrolet quoted me $265 to install a trailer hitch on my Chevy Bolt. The hitch was sold by Chevrolet and made to fit my car. There were just four bolts and no holes to drill or welding to do. Another dealer did it for me for $64.

Despite them fixing an issue with my cooling system I later had to bring in my car (2012 Cruze) consistently on a weekly basis bc days later there would still be an issue! I have been going to Herndon for 5 years, never had a problem, always excellent service from everyone, maintenance and sales. But after this visit, I will not go back. I took two vehicles in for service. I ask for oil change with synthetic, tire rotation. They called me later saying the vehicle was ready and that I needed to service the trans fluid and it was $109.00. Ok I said, service it and I picked it up. While traveling from Georgia to Virginia a light showed up on my dash. I located Herndon Chevrolet using my GPS. I pulled in and was advised that service was completely booked, but when I advised that I was traveling the service writer immediately took my keys and had my car checked. I would recommend this dealership to and if I lived in SC, this would be my dealership of choice for service.

DO NOT buy a used vehicle from Herndon Chevrolet. They tout their multi point inspection. They then push a very over priced extended warranty in a very deceptive manner. Bought a 2004 Trailblazer new. When in the market for Silverado 2500 HD, diesel, I wanted to take advantage of year-end deals. Herndon did not have any in stock and would not be getting any more. I purchased one from Atlanta; unfortunately, the Michelin tires all had cracked sidewalls and needed to be replaced under warranty. My alternator malfunctioned while driving from N.C. to Alabama late Friday afternoon on the 23 March; i initally called Onstar who diagnosed the problem. I went in to purchase a vehicle and was driving away (with vehicle) in about 3 hours. Tony was courteous and tried to get me the best deal he could. Sales associate, John Gregory, was very friendly and helpful. However, I was extremely dissatisfied to find that after being told my new vehicle(used) had been taken and detailed prior to my purchase, there was garbage (old french fry, cigarette, receipts, and bottle caps) found under the seats and in the drink holders.
